About ANTONIO SEMAKALU:
A chemical technologist with a vast experience of over 10 years in Quality control/Assurance and analytical chemistry for both food and non-food products greatly as a chromatographer. Currently a senior metrologist and head of the Thermodynamics and Analytical Lab in NML UNBS overseeing the start-up and implementation of chemical metrology. Auditing
For the past few years, I have engaged in conducting internal audits for companies as well as involved in certification Audits of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards certification department as an expert/technical Auditor for several technical audits on systems
Training
I am a TrainMic trainer who offers training on quality control and analysis and metrology in chemistry (method development and validations, data analysis). other trainings include Instrumentation to Laboratories and other quality-related firms and institutions and manufacturing industries
Testing
With over 10 years of experience analysing and testing food and non-food products in national and international laboratories, mostly in physical and chemical analysis, such as heavy metal analysis, radiation, and chromatography, I offer a wide range of knowledge and skills in this area.
Advising/Consulting
I offer consultancy in several fields like product and systems development and quality assurance where I now embed the coaching skills and part of my work when the need arises. helping the institutes/firms grow in the quality culture
Education
I do part-time lecturing in the fields of Analytical Chemistry, Environmental chemistry and plant designs
Metrology
As a master of measurement science, I am greatly involved in several matters concerning metrology from legal to industrial metrology in the development of methods, standards, policies and frameworks for metrology institutes and concerned infrastructures like laboratories
